There can be a significant cost advantage to growing your own cannabis. When purchasing cannabis legally can run upwards of $10 per gram it can get very expensive and completely unaffordable for many to restock. The high costs to buy cannabis flower, oils, medibles, etc can be a problem for most people who consume cannabis day to day for medical purposes. Growing at home has its initial setup costs however the price per gram for the most part comes in at well under $1.
'Price-conscious' pot consumers find backyard planting way cheaper. Matt Soltys grew his four legal cannabis plants from seeds starting in February. Now the weather is warm enough to transplant them to his backyard garden.
