I may or may not have heard, about someone who knows someone, who bought a THC vape pen from an unknown source. Is this a familiar story, and now you're weary and downright confused about vaping?
Don't let coming across bad cannabis products become your bad cannabis experience. We help our members "weed" through the good and the bad before consuming. Vaping is a great subject to bring up with your cannabis wellness coach.
Health Canada regulates cannabis production methods so be sure to look up any Canadian licensed producer and they can provide manufacturing documentation. If sold by a licensed cannabis store the Budtender should know how it is made and whether it is safe to consume.
On the other hand, there is a downside to vaporizers and vape oils, or pens, etc out on the market. This is a deep subject so before considering vaping just be sure to reduce the risks by educating yourself and knowing the hazards that do exist. A Chinese knockoff cannabis product is a risk NOT worth taking (IMO).

To stretch that supply, “a lot of producers who are using thickeners in their mixtures, they’re buying this stuff because it creates the visual appeal of a very thick oil” that looks like THC oil, said Peter Hackett, owner and operator of Air Vapor Systems, a company based in the San Francisco area that provides vape hardware and supplies to the legal market. (I do not believe this happens in the legal market, thoughts?)
